What is TMF?
A musical journey spanning more than four decades
TMF is the independent music project of composer and producer Heiko Kremer-Bläser. More than a collection of songs, it reflects a lifelong passion for music, creativity and experimentation—a journey that began in childhood and continues to evolve today.

The Beginning
The story started in the 1980s. As a child, Heiko spent countless hours in the studios of Südwestfunk in Baden-Baden, where he experienced the fascinating world of musicians, recording studios and radio production for the first time. Those early impressions sparked a fascination that would shape his musical path for decades to come.
Curiosity quickly turned into experimentation. From the flute, melodica and xylophone to a Bontempi organ, classical guitar and eventually electric guitar, every new instrument opened another musical door and inspired fresh ideas.

Discovering Musical Worlds
Even before writing his own songs, Heiko enjoyed combining musical styles that seemed to have little in common. His homemade cassette mixtapes reflected a fascination with unexpected musical contrasts.
One memorable example brought together The Alan Parsons Project's Turn of a Friendly Card with DIO's Lock Up the Wolves—atmospheric progressive rock meets classic hard rock. Looking back, these early experiments already hinted at what would later become one of TMF's defining characteristics: bringing together different musical worlds to create something new.
The First Songs
The 1990s became a period of musical exploration. As digital recording technologies became increasingly accessible, new creative possibilities emerged alongside traditional synthesisers and instruments.
It was during this time that the first original songs were written. One of them was Back in Town, originally created as an energetic Eurodance-inspired disco-pop track. With its fast tempo, catchy melodies and dancefloor energy, it perfectly reflected the musical spirit of its era.
The song found its audience through local radio stations and dance clubs, where CDs were sold alongside the vibrant club culture that characterised much of the decade.

A New Beginning
After many years in which music took a back seat, the passion returned in 2025. Earlier compositions were revisited, carefully reworked and reimagined with the experience gained over the intervening years.
Rather than simply recreating the originals, the songs evolved into something entirely new. Familiar melodies became the starting point for richer arrangements, broader musical influences and a more cinematic approach to songwriting and production.
TMF Today
Today, TMF combines traditional songwriting with modern production techniques while remaining firmly rooted in musical storytelling.
Its compositions draw inspiration from a wide range of genres—including rap, metalcore, hardcore, alternative rock, ska, orchestral music, electronic music and dark pop—without being limited by any single style. Every song is approached individually, allowing its atmosphere, story and emotion to determine its musical direction.
This crossover philosophy is one of the defining characteristics of TMF. Contrasting genres are carefully blended to create seamless transitions while preserving the unique identity of each musical style. The objective is not simply to combine genres, but to create music that surprises, evolves and remains emotionally engaging from beginning to end.
For TMF, every composition is more than a collection of melodies. It is a musical journey—shaped by decades of experience, curiosity and the desire to explore new creative possibilities while staying true to the emotional heart of every song.
